Kulgam, Aug 31: A woman working in an orchard was killed after she was reportedly attacked by a wild bear in the Tarigam area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Lateefa Banu, wife of Farooq Ahmad, a resident of Tarigam, Kulgam.
According to the available information, the woman came under attack while working in an orchard and reportedly died on the spot.
The incident has caused concern among residents, particularly people working in orchards, amid reports of increased movement of wild bears in the area.[KNT]
