Udhampur, Sep 25: A woman was killed after the scooty she was riding was hit by a bus at MH Chowk in Udhampur district on Friday, officials said.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the accident occurred when a bus hit a scooty bearing registration number JK14G-6073 at MH Chowk.
He said the woman sustained injuries in the accident and was shifted to Government Medical College (GMC), Udhampur, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.
She was later identified as Ishu Sharma, wife of late Sahil Sharma, a resident of Ramnagar, Udhampur, the official said.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated necessary proceedings.—(KNO)
