Srinagar, Aug 10: A search operation was launched on Monday after a 31-year-old man went missing from Nalla Madhumati in Nathpora area of Bandipora district, officials said.
The missing man has been identified as Showkat Ahmad Gujjar, a resident of Yali Bonakoot in Bandipora, they said.
A joint team of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and local police is carrying out searches in and around the water channel to trace the man.
Officials suspect that Showkat may have drowned in the water channel.(KNC)
