Poonch, April 04 (GNS): A 58-year-old man was found hanging from a tree at a village in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday.
Reports reaching GNS said that some locals informed the police about the body hanging from a tree at Qasba area. Immediately a police team reached the spot and recovered the body of the man.
The deceased has been identified as Fareed Ahmad Khan son of Jan Ali Khan of Qasba.
The body was taken to a nearby hospital for all legal medico formalities, they said.
Confirming it, SSP Poonch Ramesh Angral said that a case has been registered under relevant sections of the law and further investigations taken up to ascertain the cause of incident.
“The investigations have been initiated and all the angles will be looked into it,” the officer said. (GNS)
