SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 04: Chairperson JKBOSE, Prof. Veena Pandita, also holding the charge of Director State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) today visited SCERT Bemina to take first hand appraisal of its functioning.

During the visit, Prof. Pandita interacted with all the faculty members of SIE, to have an overall view of the functioning of SIE besides, she also visited various departments of SIE to take stock of the measures put in place by the Education Department.

Prof. Pandita on the occasion emphasised that the main role of SCERT apart from other functions, is to have qualitative improvement of school education and for this entire team needs to work together to achieve the envisaged objectives and goals of excellence in education.

She also said that SCERT will provide academic and resource support at grass-roots level to improve the learning levels of the students.

Later, she chaired a meeting with the functionaries of SIE and discussed various measures and modalities to strengthen the education system in the present circumstances.

During her visit, Prof. Pandita was accompanied by Director Academic, JKBOSE Dr. Farooq Ahmad Peer, Joint Secretary Publication Prof Ab Wahid Makhdoomi and Joint Director School Education Department, Abid Hussain.
