Kupwara, Sep 06 (GNS): Police on Sunday claimed to have apprehended a person in possession of contraband here at Zaloora area of Handwara in the district on Sunday evening.
A police official told GNS that one Bilal Ahmad Shiekh son of Abdul Rehman Shiekh a resident of Sudergund Hangah was apprehended by a team at Zaloora Bus Stop.
“A total of 100 grams of Brown-Sugar was recovered from his possession”, the official said.
“An FIR number 314/2020 under section 8/21 of NDPS Act has been lodged against the offender and further investigations taken up”, the official added. (GNS)
