Srinagar, Jan 30 (GNS): Body of a 33-year-old man was recovered at Cherkoot area of Kupwara district on Saturday, a fortnight after he went missing from his residence, officials said.
They said the man, Javaid Ahmad Mir son of Mohammad Dilawar Mir of Izgund Khumriyal Kupwara had left his residence on January 15 but neither he returned back to his home nor went to any of his relatives. A manhunt was launched but he could not be traced until his body was recovered near Cherkoot, a forest area. A missing report was filed with police Station on January 19. A police officer confirmed that the body has been found. “Investigations have been launched in this regard.” (GNS)
