Srinagar, Oct 24(GNS): Department of Youth Services & Sports Budgam recently held a Union territory level inter-district cycling championship for boys and girls in Under-17 and Under-19 categories.

The cycling event took place along the scenic route of Holy Mission High School Narbal to Kunzer, with participation from participants from various districts of Jammu and Kashmir.

As per GNS correspondent, the event was flagged off by the Chief Guests Zonal Education Officer Narbal Abdul Ahad Wani & Principal Holy Mission High School Narbal Mohammad Mursaleen. The guests of honor on the occasion included International Ski instructor Ghulam Nabi Reshi and Internet Cyclist Mohammad Amber Khan.

The event also saw the attendance of In charge activity DYSSO Budgam Shakeel-ur-Rehman and In charge Activity Zone Narbal Bashir Ahmad Sheikh.

In the Under-19 category for Girls, Soliha Zahoor of Green Valley Educational Institute, stood first to win the Gold medal. The institute overall demonstrated an exceptional performance in the Championship, bearing a testament to the institute’s focus on extracurricular activities whilst it’s even stellar curricular record.(GNS)
