Shikhar Dhawan Lauds Kashmiri Talent, Aakash Chopra Predicts India’s Next Pacer From Valley
Srinagar, Sep 06 (GNS): Former India cricketer and noted commentator Aakash Chopra on Saturday said that India’s next fast bowling sensation will come from Kashmir.
Chopra was addressing a press conference as per GNS in Srinagar in connection with the Pro Star Cricket League Season-2, scheduled to be held in Kashmir in March 2027.
He said Kashmir has immense cricketing talent and the region has the potential to produce a fast bowler who can go on to represent India at the highest level.
Former India opener Shikhar Dhawan, who was also present, appreciated the talent of Kashmiri cricketers, especially the bowlers. He said young players from the Valley are now getting better exposure and opportunities to showcase their skills.
Dhawan also praised the natural beauty of Kashmir, saying he is mesmerised by its snow-clad mountains and winter charm.
As per the organisers, Pro Star Cricket League Season-2 aims to provide a big platform and exposure to emerging cricketers from Jammu and Kashmir and other parts of the country.
They said the league will bring together renowned cricket personalities and budding players and will help in promoting cricket culture and nurturing young talent in the Valley.(GNS)
