Vehicular movement on designated routes to remain suspended from 5 AM to 2 PM on October 4
BANDIPORA, OCTOBER 03: In view of the conduct of the Wullar Ultra Marathon-3.0 scheduled to be held in Bandipora on October 4, 2026, the Traffic Police Rural Kashmir has issued a detailed traffic advisory to facilitate the smooth conduct of the event and ensure the safety of participants and the general public.
As per the advisory, vehicular movement along the designated marathon route, commencing from BSF Headquarters, Maddar, proceeding towards NHPC Pethkote and returning to Chewa via Kangrichowk through Wular Vantage Road, shall remain suspended from 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM on October 4.
Motorists have been advised to avoid the notified marathon corridor during the restricted period and plan their journeys in advance. Necessary traffic diversions have been put in place to facilitate smooth movement of vehicles.
All Srinagar-bound traffic originating from Gurez, Bandipora town and Bandipora Bus Stand shall be diverted via the Bandipora-Sopore road and vice versa. Similarly, Bandipora- and Gurez-bound traffic from Srinagar shall be routed through Narbal, Pattan, Sopore and onward to Bandipora.
Traffic moving from Ganderbal towards Bandipora shall proceed via Sumbal, Naidkhai, Sopore and Bandipora, with the same route applicable for return journeys.
The general public has been requested to cooperate with traffic personnel deployed on duty and adhere to the notified diversions for smooth vehicular movement during the event.
