Srinagar, Oct 6 (GNS): Government of Jammu and Kashmir has revoked the suspension of Dr. Syed Maqbool Ahmad Shah, Associate Professor, Cardiology, Government Medical College, Jammu and reinstated him in service with immediate effect.
As per Government Order dated 06.10.2026, issued by Health & Medical Education Department, the suspension was revoked in terms of Rule 31(3) of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956, and as per recommendations of the Suspension Review Committee.
Dr. Shah was placed under suspension vide Government Order No. 504-JK(HME) of 2026 dated 20.06.2026.
Consequent upon revocation of suspension, Dr. Syed Maqbool Ahmad Shah shall report for duties forthwith at his original place of posting i.e., Government Medical College, Jammu.
The order states that the period of suspension shall be decided separately, upon conclusion of the departmental proceedings, in accordance with provisions of applicable service rules.(GNS)
