Srinagar, Sep 27 (GNS): Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Sunday termed the resolution moved in the Assembly as a dream that every Kashmiri sees, but accused National Conference of having a history of betraying people and never letting them wake up to realize that dream.
Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of a party function, as per GNS, Bukhari said, “We don’t have a seat in the Assembly, so we don’t have a vote, but this resolution is a dream that every Kashmiri sees. But to make dreams come true, you have to wake up from sleep and the history of National Conference is that it has never let the people of Jammu and Kashmir wake up, it has always kept us in deception.”
He said NC never does what it says and its intentions are not clear. “This is just to say that we did a resolution, but their intention is not there,” he said.
Referring to outsiders buying land in Kashmir, Bukhari said he has named them openly. “I told you today, tell me who gave land to Chawla Sahab from Bombay who is building a hotel in Saidpora? Who gave him permission? He is not a domicile, not a state subject. I also told that in Chhatargah 150 kanals have been bought by a company, who gave it to them?” he asked.
Taking a sharp dig at Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma, Bukhari called him “Bagalveer” (sidekick) and alleged he is acting as a messenger.
“LoP Sahab is Bagalveer, listen to him. Whatever National Conference does, he brings the message from Delhi, he takes messages from here to Delhi and from Delhi to here. Don’t you see in the morning he is in the Assembly and in the afternoon he is in Delhi. He meets them there and brings messages from there to here. He is like a bird that goes and brings messages,” Bukhari alleged.
Invoking history of electoral fraud in J&K, Bukhari said, “We have seen since 1947, if anyone has seen the Election Commission as a commission of theft, it is the people of Jammu and Kashmir. If today people of India are seeing what we have been seeing since 47, then it is good.”(GNS)
