Srinagar, Apr 23 (GNS): An automobile workshop along with five vehicles gutted completely at Eidgah here on Thursday.

Reports Reaching GNS said that fire broke out inside the automobile workshop of Nisar Ahmad Khan son of Ghulam Qadir Khan of Firdous Colony, Ali Jan Road, Eidgah resulting in complete damage to it.

A police officer told Global News Service that fire tenders immediately reached the spot and brought the flames under control. 

The officer said the workshop suffered extensive damage. “Five vehicles of customers which were for repairing also gutted completely,” he said.

The initial investigations revealed that the reason behind the fire was electric short circuit, he said.

Tehsildar Eidgah along with police officers also reached the spot for carrying out further investigations in this connection, the officer said. (GNS)
