Chairman, All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) meets Lt Governor

SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 13: Lieutenant Governor, Sh. Manoj Sinha met Chairman, All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee and Provincial President, Apni Party, Sh. Jagmohan Singh Raina at the Raj Bhavan here today.

Sh. Raina apprised the Lt Governor about the various issues faced by the Sikh community living in the Union Territory and appealed for focussed attention to be paid for the resolution of those issues.  He highlighted the issue of extension of the National Commission for Minorities Act to Jammu & Kashmir for the benefit of minority communities, besides raising several related concerns.

The Lt Governor and Sh. Raina also discussed various developmental issues especially the need for the tapping of drinking water resources, employment generation under the handicraft sector, among other issues.

The Lt Governor gave a patient hearing to Sh. Jagmohan Singh Raina and assured that all the genuine issues would be looked into meticulously and taken up for redressal. He reassured that the UT administration is dedicated towards equitable development and welfare of all sections of the society without discrimination.
