Pulwama, May 27: (GNS) The Bandzoo-Jandwal road stretch in this south-Kashmir continues to be in shambles, causing inconvenience to the inhabitants in the area.

A local delegation told news agency GNS that despite apprising the authorities of the issue on multiple occasions and time to time assurances nothing has been done on ground. The sloppy approach by the authorities is only aggravating the problem, they said.

There is no proper drainage system even and the road stretch gets inundated with slightest of the downpour, they rued.

The intermittent potholes along the road stretch are also causing damage to vehicles nonetheless posing a threat to life of commuters. “Every now and then the local politicians boast of developing roads and addressing other issues, but these lofty claims find relevance on ground”, they said.

Urging the district administration to intervene, the delegation members said that we hope that the district administration alongside authorities concerned will consider the issue on a priority basis to alleviate their genuine issue. (GNS)
