CEOs Asked to Revoke Invalid Deployment Orders; Salary Release Without Approval Restricted

Srinagar, May 14 : The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has issued strict directions to all Chief Education Officers (CEOs) across Kashmir Division, directing them to immediately stop issuing transfer or deployment orders of Senior Assistants without approval from the competent authority.

According to a circular issued by the Directorate a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS stated that, it has been observed that several Senior Assistants were transferred or deployed to different institutions and offices by CEOs “on one pretext or the other” in violation of established rules and without having the required authority. The matter has been viewed seriously by the Directorate.

The circular further directs all Chief Education Officers to immediately relieve such Senior Assistants who were deployed without prior approval and ensure that they report back to their original places of posting forthwith.

DSEK also instructed all Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) not to release salaries of any such Senior Assistants who were deployed without approval from the competent authority until they resume duties at their original postings.

The Directorate warned that any deviation from these instructions will invite disciplinary action against the concerned officers or officials. (JKNS)
