Programme Organised By Agriculture Extension Officer Zone Qaimoh
Srinagar: A daylong awareness programme under CSS NMAET, organized by Agriculture Extension officer Zone Qaimoh was held at village Hawoora for general awareness of different farming techniques among local farmers.
During the programme at least one hundred participating farmers were accquinted by the latest technological advances in Agriculture and stress was given on cultivation of crops on organic ways.
The program was based on two sessions – in the first session Dr Basharat Ahmad Deen AEA delivered lecture on importance of soil testing. In Agriculture and the hazardous effects of inorganic fertilizers on Agriculture and Human Health.
In the second session presided over by Dr. Nazir Ahmed Rather Agriculture Extension officer Zone Qaimoh gave a detailed lecture of importance of quality seed and how to manage different diseases with natural ways. He informed the farmers about availability of high quality paddy and other vegetable seed at subsidized rates at Zonal office Qaimoh.
The program was also attended by other Agriculture Extension Assistants of Zone office Qaimoh besides other officials. (Kashmir Glory News)
