Srinagar, April 13 (GNS): Police on Monday said that it has arrested five militant associates of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) outfit in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district. A senior police officer told GNS that a joint team of army’s 22 RR and SOG arrested the five militant associates in Tujar and Harwan areas of Sopore in separate raids. “One UBGL and 5 grenades and other incriminating material were recovered from their possession,” the officer said. The arrested persons are also involved in a case FIR Number 3/2020 under section 427, 307 IPC and ¾ Explosive Substance Act registered in police station Bomai. The case pertains to a grenade attack on a civilian, the police officer said. He said that today a fresh case has been registered under relevant sections of law against the arrested persons for unlawful activities act.
