Srinagar, Aug 26 (GNS): The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued a formal order regarding the suspension of an In-charge Executive Engineer arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau in March this year.
According to Government Order, a copy of which lies with GNS, Er. Manzoor Ahmad Dar, In-Charge Executive Engineer on deputation to PHE Mechanical Division, South Awantipora, was arrested by ACB Srinagar on March 28, 2026 in connection with FIR No. 02/2026 registered at Police Station ACB Anantnag.
As a sequel, the officer was placed under suspension vide Government Order No. 55-JK(JSD) of 2026 dated April 7, 2026 by the Jal Shakti Department.
Now, in exercise of powers conferred under Rule 31 of J&K Civil Services (Classification, Control & Appeal) Rules, 1956, the government has ordered that the suspension of Er. Dar shall be deemed to have taken effect from March 28, 2026, i.e. the date of his arrest.
During the period of his suspension, the officer shall remain attached to the office of the Chief Engineer, M&HD Kashmir, and shall be entitled to subsistence allowance at the rate of 50 percent (half pay and half dearness allowance), in terms of Article 108-A of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Service Regulations, 1956.
The order further states that the subsistence allowance shall be drawn in his favour against any equivalent or higher post available with the Chief Engineer, M&HD Kashmir, in accordance with the prescribed rules.
