July 04: Reinforcing its unwavering commitment to a zero-tolerance policy against drug trafficking, Police in Handwara has struck a significant blow to the narcotics network by attaching a residential house belonging to Anayatullah Khan son of Hameedullah Khan of Ucher Magam Handwara.

The action has been carried out under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan, as part of an intensified crackdown aimed not only at arresting offenders but also dismantling the financial infrastructure supporting the drug trade.

The attached property has been identified as having been renovated through proceeds generated from illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs, marking a decisive step in targeting illegally acquired assets. The accused is involved in FIR No. 85/2026 Under Sections 8/20 NDPS Act of PS Handwara.

J&K Police reiterates that any property derived from drug-related activities will face strict legal action, and such measures will continue relentlessly to choke the economic backbone of drug networks. Police remains steadfast in its mission to eradicate the drug menace from society. The general public is once again urged to cooperate and share any information related to drug trafficking or suspicious activities, assuring that every input will be handled with utmost confidentiality.
