Jammu and Kashmir: Security Guard Opens Fire At Under-Construction Tunnel After Spotting Suspicious Movement

Poonch, Aug 11 (GNS): A private security guard allegedly opened fire at Bhatadhurian in Mendhar area of Poonch on Monday late night after he claimed to have noticed suspicious movement near an under-construction tunnel on the Jammu-Poonch highway.

Officials told GNS that the guard, deployed at the tunnel site, fired in the air after spotting some suspicious activity in the area.

Police and security forces rushed to the spot and launched a search operation in the vicinity. No injury or damage has been reported so far.

Further investigation is underway.(GNS)
