Jammu, Sep 3 (GNS): Ministry of Railways has approved experimental stoppage of Jammu Tawi-Srinagar Vande Bharat Express at Anantnag railway station.

As per Railway Board order issued, a copy of which is with GNS, train No. 26401/26402 Jammu Tawi-Srinagar Vande Bharat Express will have a halt at Anantnag with effect from an early convenient date and subject to necessary security clearance.

The Board has directed Northern Railway to keep a close watch on sale of tickets at the station for review, give wide publicity and ensure compliance.

The move is expected to benefit passengers of south Kashmir by providing direct connectivity to Jammu and Srinagar through the premium semi-high speed service.(GNS)
