JKBOSE Issues Notification on Syllabi for Classes 9th–12th

Srinagar, Mar 5 : The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has issued a notification regarding the syllabi and courses of studies for Classes 9th to 12th for the upcoming academic sessions in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to the notification issued to news agency Kashmir News Corner—(KNC), there will be no change in the syllabi for Classes 9th and 10th for the Academic Session 2025–26 in Kashmir Division and Winter Zone areas of Jammu Division, and for the Academic Session 2026–27 in Summer Zone areas of Jammu Division.

However, the board said minor revisions have been made in the syllabi of some subjects for Classes 11th and 12th.

The revised subjects include Punjabi and Physical Education for Class 11th, while Education and Environmental Science have been revised for Class 12th.

JKBOSE further said that question papers for Regular and Fresh Private candidates appearing in the annual session examinations scheduled in October–November 2026 for Kashmir Division and Winter Zone areas of Jammu Division, and February–March 2027 for Summer Zone areas of Jammu Division, will be set as per the revised syllabi of these subjects.

The board also informed that the updated syllabi are available on its official website for students and other stakeholders.

Officials said the move aims to ensure clarity and uniformity in academic courses for the upcoming sessions.—(KNC)
