Srinagar, Jul 27: Peerzada Mohammad Zahid from Chandigam village of Lolab has been awarded with gold medal on the eve of Kashmir University’s 19th Convocation held here on Tuesday.
Zahid, currently enrolled for PhD, completed his Masters in Urdu from Kashmir University in the year 2020 with first position.
Zahid, as per Kashmir Glory, received the gold medal at the hands of President of India Ram Nath Kovind who was joined by incumbent Lieutenant Governor Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha.
Talking to Kashmir Glory Zahid said that while he was in his M.A 3rd Semester, he had qualified UGC-NET and following the completion of his degree qualified for UGC-NET in 2020.
“I received my Bachelors degree from GDC Sogam Lolab and appeared for entrance at KU in 2017” Zahid said adding “I luckily finished second in the overall entrance ranking.”
I take this moment to thank all my teachers, especially those who taught me at GDC Sogam, Zahid further said.
