Baramulla, May 26: (GNS) A 13-year-old boy has died after falling of a mountainous ridge in Uri in north-Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Reports reaching news agency GNS said that the boy had gone to graze his cattle in Nawarunda forest area, falling along Line of Control.
While cutting grass, the 13-year-old identified as Arfad Hussain son of Mir Hussain Kohli slipped of a sharp ridge into a gorge.
After hours of search, the locals retrieved the boy and evacuated him to nearby health facility, however the minor was declared as brought dead on arrival by the doctors there.
A police official confirming the death of the boy told GNS that a case in this regard is underway for further investigations. (GNS)
