Shopian, Oct 19 (GNS):Body of a newborn baby was found abandoned in a forest area of Dunaroo in Keller area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Tuesday.
Local sources told GNS that some dogs were seen dragging the infant in the forest area. A few locals who noticed the incident intervened and retrieved the body from the dogs.
The incident triggered shock and concern among the locals.
Meanwhile, the matter has been brought to the notice of the concerned police station for necessary legal action, sources said.
Police is expected to take cognizance of the matter.(GNS)
