July 05: Srinagar Police organised a dignified farewell ceremony at the District Police Lines (DPL), Srinagar, to honour six Police personnel on their superannuation, recognising their long, dedicated, and exemplary service to the Jammu and Kashmir Police.

The retiring personnel included SI Abdul Aziz Wagay, SI Reyaz Ahmad Rather, SI Mohammed Saleem Pala, ASI Kulwant Singh, ASI Bashir Ahmad Batloo, and SgCt Riyaz Ahmad Khan. During their distinguished careers, they served the department with sincerity, professionalism, discipline, and unwavering commitment, making significant contributions towards maintaining public safety, law and order, and ensuring peace in the region.

On the occasion, Senior Superintendent of Police Srinagar, Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy, IPS, paid rich tributes to the retiring officers/officials and expressed deep appreciation for their invaluable contributions to the police force. He commended their integrity, dedication, and years of selfless service, stating that their commitment and experience would continue to inspire younger generations of police personnel. SSP Srinagar extended his heartfelt wishes to the retirees and their families, praying for their good health, happiness, and a fulfilling post-retirement life. He also assured them that they would always remain valued members of the Srinagar Police family.

The ceremony was attended by the Zonal SPs, DySP Headquarters, DySP DAR, and other senior officers and officials of Srinagar Police, who joined in expressing their gratitude and admiration for the retiring personnel. As a mark of appreciation and recognition, Certificates of Appreciation were presented to each retiree by SSP Srinagar in acknowledgement of their distinguished service, professionalism, and outstanding contributions to the department.

The farewell ceremony concluded on an emotional and heartwarming note, reflecting the strong bond of camaraderie, mutual respect, and esprit de corps that characterises the Jammu and Kashmir Police. Srinagar Police wishes all the retirees a peaceful, prosperous, healthy, and rewarding new chapter in their lives.
