We all are familiar with the prevailing conditions created amid the outbreak of the second Covid wave. The deadly wave has left thousands dead and many more gasping for breath for over a considerable time now. Everyone is worried about this deadly disease that has affected each sector more or less to disrupt the normal function. There is no scientific evidence yet from any deemed research health organization about this disease to ascertain how long it will stay in the human population but a few published journals have almost acknowledged that it would infect further by changing its genome inside the human body to accelerate the proliferation cycle in order to resist any drug. The second wave on its move is a double mutant variant. Virologists said this one can be more catastrophic than the previous one as we see across India. In spite of this, we must properly follow SOPs like; wearing masks, frequent washing of hands, avoiding gatherings and keeping social distance outside. These basic precautions would somehow control the infection at large.
Nature has assigned many responsibilities over human beings in this world just to assist others in bad times. We all are engaged in one way or another in order to fulfill them by showing sympathetic and humanistic remarks with the people. But the nature of work may be different that does not literally differ the essence of assistance in the truest sense. So assistance or service is a rare attribute found among humans. This attribute was not given to other creatures at all. It should be valued more in every aspect of human life. Similarly, the health assistance is given by health professionals who have a profound knowledge of medical science and years of experience to equip effectively with the health issues that predominantly demonstrate their worth of being a good health professional in the department. These health professionals are always in the forefront for providing effective services 24X7. Any professional of any field has a responsibility on his/her shoulders to be very active in utilizing his /her field proficiency for the betterment of people. Life is not defined by what you have achieved so far, but life is defined by what you have given to your society. For example; when we have any sort of disease or anyone among us feels a little discomfort for his health. We rush to the hospital to get timely treatment in order to have good health in the future. So, we get these services from our medical professionals who are engaged all time in their work. In border sense, the health system relies upon the two important pillars i.e. efficient Health staff and well-equipped machines, labs for resulting in better treatment and clear diagnostic reveals. Health component is considered one of the key components which come under the state list as per Indian constitution. It needs huge investment to strengthen the overall mechanism that could make it fully operational to carry out the entire health burden.
First of all, the Indian Govt. has officially announced that above the age of 45, men or women must have to get vaccinated in the phase first as they are very prone to covid-19 infections owing to many complications. Since the inception of the vaccine drive of covid-19 in India for the people whose age was above 45. Our Jammu and Kashmir UT, received the Covaxin after two and half months from the central. The regional Medical institutes, District hospitals, Primary health centres took the responsibility for carrying out the vaccination drive smoothly under the specified medical guidelines. Likewise, the drive has also started at local health sub-centres in almost every village for immediate access to vaccination. The staff are on regular duty to put all efforts in a positive way. On the other hand,it has been witnessed that ASHAs and ANGANWADI workers are also engaged with the staff continuously since the inception of Covid-19 vaccination drive at local health sub-centres..They have also shown a positive attitude and act to be very determined during the entire process. Let me tell you the truth by giving my own village’s example”Yangoora”. These helpers have surveyed from door to door counting the members of each family who have got vaccinated and recorded their names in registrars. In addition, they have encouraged those family members who first turned away their faces by hearing the name of vaccination. It is an unprecedented approach that they have prepared people mentally by surveying a number of times to convince them to get inoculated at the sub centre as soon as possible.
Such team work always bears fruits when performers are well dedicated to their activity. Everyone gets the opportunity to work with others that makes him/her capable to lessen the half workload.I therefore, conclude with this line; Health professionals are the real heroes who live with open hearts and are down to earth. We are proud of you and we staunchly believe that you will remain motivated and give your best every time. It is my privilege that I have expressed my views in favor of this noble profession in which the health working staff save the lives of others by putting themselves at stake in tough times. No one can weaken your strength and passion in which you are engaged but you must keep your hopes high and never let them down.
