KANGAN, AUGUST 21: An 18-year-old youth from Srinagar is feared to have drowned in Nallah Sindh near the dumping park at Kijpara in Kangan, Ganderbal district, on Friday.
The youth has been identified as Danish Bilal, son of Bilal Ahmad Hajam, a resident of Hafiz Bagh, Kashmir University, Srinagar.
According to initial reports, the incident occurred when Danish had gone to the water body to take a bath. He reportedly went missing after entering the water, triggering panic among those present at the spot.
Soon after the incident, a team of Kangan Police, along with local residents, reached the site and launched a search operation to trace the missing youth.
The search operation is currently underway, while further details regarding the incident are awaited.(KNC)
