Srinagar: As the Lok Sabha elections are around the corner, Mamata Banerjee led Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Sunday announced former all-round Cricketer Yusuf Pathan as it’s candidate from Muslim majority Baharampur Lok Sabha segment in West Bengal.
Yousuf, known for his flamboyance in the Cricketing world, is the brother of Irfan Pathan – both of whom were part of the winning squad of inaugural edition of T20 world in 2007.
The Muslim Baharampur parliament seat is approximately 848,152 which is around 52% as per voter list analysis.
