Baramulla, Jun 4 (GNS): District administration Baramulla Friday sealed two restaurants here after an official team found the two eateries open despite a ‘Corona Curfew’ ordered for the day by Deputy Commissioner.
An official told GNS said that a team led by Nodal Officer Baramulla Zeeshan Khan alongwith officials of police and Municipal Council on receipt of specific input about the routine functioning of two restaurants raided the spot. During the raids, the official said, the team ascertained that two restaurants ‘Maizbaan’ and ‘Dawat’ were open. Taken as a contravention of the ordered Corona Curfew for the day, both the restaurants were sealed instantly, he said.
It was exhorted by the team to all that no violation to the guidelines will be tolerated, the official added.
Pertinent to mention here that Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr Bhopinder Kumar, as reported, had on Thursday issued a notification, ordering for observance of complete Corona Curfew in the district, barring all routine activities except for essential services. (GNS)
