Srinagar, Aug 22(GNS) A departmental store was gutted in a fire incident at Bagh-e-Mehtab on the outskirts of Srinagar early Saturday.
Reports reaching GNS said that fire broke out at Blooms Departmental Store at Bagh-e-Mehtab in the morning hours, engulfing the establishment.
Locals spotted the flames and immediately informed the Fire and Emergency Services.
Fire tenders from Rangreth and Rawalpora were rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control after hectic efforts. The fire was prevented from spreading to adjacent structures.
There was no report of any injury in the incident, while the cause of fire and extent of loss is being ascertained.(GNS)
