Srinagar: The Government of Pakistan on Monday officially authorised the Pakistan National Cricket Team to participate in its upcoming fixture of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, scheduled for February 15, 2026, against India.
In an official statement, the government reportedly said, “In view of the outcomes achieved in multilateral discussions, as well as the request of friendly countries, the Government of Pakistan directs the Pakistan National Cricket Team to take the field on February 15, 2026, for its scheduled fixture in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.”
The decision follows outcomes of multilateral discussions and requests from friendly countries.
The announcement directs the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to make all necessary arrangements to ensure the team takes the field as scheduled.
