Party announces candidates for Central Kashmir, Sheikh Ashiq to contest from Gbl, Reshi from Sonawari Srinagar, Sep 02 (KNO): Former Member of Legislative Council (MLC) Yasir Reshi, who recently resigned from Peoples Conference (PC), Monday joined Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) in Srinagar and is all set to contest the upcoming assembly polls from Sonawari constituency in Bandipora. As per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), two others who joined AIP include Naseer Ahmad Rather and Advocate Raja Ashraf Ali Khan. The party also announced a list of candidates, who will contest the upcoming assembly election from Kashmir in the second phase. Party general secretary in an official statement said that in view of the upcoming Assembly Elections the political affairs committee headed by Ishtiyaq Qadri has recommended the Mandates of 10 candidates to the party Supremo Er.Rasheed.
