Srinagar, Nov 3: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) on Tuesday issued the provisional selection list of candidates for admission to MD, MS and PGD courses-2026 following the completion of the first round of online counselling.
According to Notification No. 250-BOPEE of 2026, dated November 3, the list contains candidates provisionally allotted seats and disciplines in government and private medical colleges and institutions of Jammu and Kashmir.
Candidates who wish to challenge their position in the provisional selection list can submit representations along with supporting documentary evidence by November 4, 2026, up to 11 am. Such representations have to be submitted through the designated BOPEE email address, helpdeskjakbopee@gmail.com.
The Board has stated that if any genuine representation is received, a separate notification will be issued for publication of a revised selection list. In the absence of any further notification, the existing list will be treated as final.
Provisionally selected candidates have been asked to report to their allotted colleges and institutions from November 4 at 2 pm onwards until November 7, 2026, at 4:30 pm, along with their original documents to complete admission formalities.
The candidates are required to generate their provisional allotment letters through the JKBOPEE online portal and produce documents including MBBS degree certificates, medical council registration, internship completion certificates, domicile certificates, NEET-PG 2026 scorecards and valid category certificates, wherever applicable.
The Board has clarified that admissions will be made exclusively through the online admission portal and offline admissions will not be accepted. It has also directed colleges to keep their admission counters open on holidays and non-working days to facilitate candidates.
The notification further states that the allotment is purely provisional and may be cancelled if any information or document furnished by a candidate is found to be false or fabricated.
In a clarification regarding Government Medical College Kathua, BOPEE said its seat matrix had inadvertently shown 13 seats instead of nine seats under the UT quota, as 13 seats were meant for the All India Quota and nine for the UT quota. The matrix was subsequently corrected and uploaded on the Board’s website.
The Board has advised candidates not to wait until the last date for completing admission formalities, warning that delays could cause unnecessary hardships.
The notification has been issued by Secretary J&K BOPEE, Dr. Shabir Hussain Keen, JKAS. [KNT]
