Srinagar, Aug 20: Jammu and Kashmir in Sopore of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district have arrested the second accused in a case involving the alleged impersonation of a police official and extortion, officials said.
Police had on August 7 arrested one person for allegedly posing as a police official and extorting money from a complainant in connection with FIR No. 194/2026. During the investigation, the officials said, another individual was identified as allegedly being involved in the case. “Efforts were launched to trace him, and he also was subsequently arrested.”
Both the accused have been taken into custody, and further investigation is underway.
