Zaffer Iqbal Uri, Dec 14 (GNS): People on Wednesday said that the army has started construction of a road which was damaged by 2014 floods and expressed optimism that the same would be completed soon so that they get relief after eight years of wait. The locals said that the road in Gowalta village along the LoC was damaged in the floods but the authorities concerned failed to open it despite requests. They said that they had been requesting the PMGSY Department and others to open the road but to no avail. Locals said a huge population of the area remained disconnected from Tehsil Headquarter due to the closure of the road and suffered badly during all these years. “Now that the work has been started, we hope that the army’s 12th Infantry Brigade Uri will complete the road at the earliest.” (GNS) Share this:PostWhatsAppTelegramTweetEmailLike this:Like Loading...
