Srinagar, Jun 14: On the eve of World Blood Donor Day, various organizations including civil societies, NGOs and other social activists vehemently took the issue of establishment of ‘Blood Bank’ at District Hospital, Ganderbal. The organizers to the event told Kashmir Glory that establishment of Blood Bank is a long pending demand of the people of the district. “The patients of various areas of the district are facing hardships due to lack of blood donation and blood bank facilities at District Hospital Ganderbal”, they said. Chairman ‘Pukar’ NGO Syed Nazakat Khalifa on the occasion said that despite taking the issue of establishment of blood bank, “no significant step has been taken in this regard.” Reiterating the demand, Khalifa said that “We urge authorities to establish a blood bank in the district to make it easy for hundreds of donors to donate their blood.” Expressing hope that this time around the authorities will t”ake note of the demand”, Khalifa said that “the issue shall be prioritized on humanitarian grounds.” Share this:PostWhatsAppTelegramTweetEmailLike this:Like Loading...
