Srinagar: An individual was apprehended for keeping in his possession four hand-grenades and other war-like stores at Khurhama in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district. “Based on specific intelligence inputs, a Joint Search Operation was launched by #IndianArmy & @JmuKmrPolice at Khurhama, Kupwara today. One suspected individual has been apprehended along with the recovery of 04xHand Grenades and other war-like stores,” the army said in an ‘X’ post. “Interrogation by JKP is in progress,” reads the post. In a separate operation, jointly conducted by BSF and Army, led to recovery of a cache of arms and ammunition at Rangwar area in the district. “Based on specific intelligence of BSF, a Joint Search Operation was launched by BSF Kashmir & Army at Rangwar Kupwara today & recovered, 9 mm Pistol with 01 Magazine & 29 Rounds, AK 47 with 01 Magazine & 400 Rounds, 02 Communication Sets, 01 IED, 01 Hand Grenade & other war-like stores,” reads an ‘X’ post by BSF.
