Srinagar, Aug 24(GNS): A 60-year-old woman injured in a road accident in Uri area of Baramulla district on Monday later succumbed to her injuries at GMC Baramulla.
Officials told GNS that the woman, Soni Begum, wife of Noor Hassan, resident of Dulanga Uri, sustained injuries in a road mishap today.
She was shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Uri for initial treatment, where doctors after providing preliminary care referred her to Government Medical College (GMC) Baramulla for specialized treatment.
However, she died during treatment at GMC Baramulla.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated proceedings.(GNS)
